Dr. Mark Chick

Dr. Mark Chick 

Dr. Chick grew up in La Grange and is a graduate of Oldham County High School. He attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chick practiced at Crestwood Animal Hospital 1994-2000. In 2000, he moved his family to Jacksonville, Florida to continue practicing small animal medicine at San Juan Animal Hospital. Dr. Chick returned to his roots in August 2018 when he joined Dr. Kenneth Schmidt and his staff at OCVS. 


In March 2019, Dr. Chick took ownership of OCVS. Dr. Chick is looking forward to serving the small animal patients of Oldham County with over 30 years of veterinary experience. Dr. Chick and his wife, Tina, have 2 children, 1 granddaughter and 4 grandsons.

Dr. Carly Lyle

Dr. Lyle was born and raised in Prospect and is a graduate of DuPont Manual High School. She attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from Auburn University, College of Veterinary Medicine in July 2024. Dr. Lyle has an Anatolian shepherd mix named Lainey, and a cat whose name is Lyle Lyle.


Throughout Dr. Lyle's schooling at Auburn, she would do internships in the office to establish relationships with the clients and patients. In July of 2024 she decided to make it permanent and become a doctor at OCVS. Dr. Lyle is looking forward to getting to know the community, and serving its furry friends.
